The author of this blog has been a home winemaker for almost 10 years. Prior to settling in West Virginia he has lived in areas of California known as wine country. Also he has visited many  countries around the world including France and Italy, countries known as the Old World. He has also visted Australia, another country known for their fine wines. Hopefully, the experience of tasting wines from other areas will help him to make educational comparisons of West Virginia’s wines.
